City council adopts a resolution on Campus V

6 October 2023 press release

The Campus V consortium welcomes the general resolution adopted by the city council of Frankfurt am Main on 28 September 2023 regarding the contractual use of the northern plot of land at the corner of Adickesallee and Eckenheimer Landstraße until 2052. This is an important milestone for the Campus V project.

Campus V is the joint learning and research centre of the German National Library, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, where the V stands for "Verantwortung" ("Responsibility"). In the long term, the site will be used for an extension to the German National Library.

In terms of content, the centre will focus first and foremost on sustainability issues (Green Finance et al.) social entrepreneurship and social innovation. The new building will be located at the heart of Frankfurt's Campus Mile. The Campus Mile's long-term goals are to link the premises and areas of focus of the educational institutions along the north side of Frankfurt's Alleenring and to remodel the urban planning and infrastructural framework on site.

The contractual partners are confident that they will be able to sign a corresponding leasehold contract some time in October. This largely depends on a final commitment from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.
