Augenrausch – Episode 6: Manfred von Papen alias papan

In the last episode of its first season, “Augenrausch” is in Munich to talk to one of Germany’s most notable cartoon artists – Manfred von Papen, also known as papan. Across several generations, papan has drawn thousands of poignant pictures of everyday life for Germany’s press landscape (among others Stern magazine, the newspapers Zeit and Süddeutsche Zeitung). Nowadays he is mostly working in his studio in Munich, doing what he likes best: “I only draw for myself now, and the advantage of that is that I can now draw without any restraints!” It is a podcast about letter boxes, growing old and the joys of running your own shop.

This episode marks the end of the first season of “Augenrausch”. There are plans to continue the podcast series.
