Augenrausch – Episode 5: Anna Haifisch

In episode 5 of our podcast “AugenRausch”, we talk to Leipzig-based illustrator Anna Haifisch. – "I am so terribly lacking in inspiration," Anna Haifisch (born in 1986) has her artist character say about her. Yet this is certainly not true of the much sought-after Leipzig-based cartoonist, who currently has an exhibition at the Hamburg Museum of Arts and Design and who has already supplied artworks for the Museum of Modern Art, the “Guardian”, "Die Zeit" and many others. Her studies at the Leipzig Academy of Fine Arts, where she was an advanced pupil of Thomas M. Müller, were interspersed with periods of time spent in the USA. She achieved an international breakthrough with her web comic "The Artist", which was published in the media portal "Vice".

In the next episode of “AugenRausch”, we talk to Manfred von Papen, alias papan, in Munich. This episode will be released to coincide with the new exhibition “papan to papan. A life in postcards“ at the German Museum of Books and Writing.
(Opening at 12. January 2025).
