Project description

NFDI4Objects is a multidisciplinary consortium within the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). It is aimed at researchers and practitioners whose work focuses on the material heritage of around three million years of human and environmental history and addresses the challenges faced by modern research data infrastructures.

The NFDI4Objects consortium's goal is to improve digital research and work processes within expert communities. The cataloguing of large, complex data sets facilitates sustainable international access to the digital results of research projects, expert advice and reliable, need-based, secure services within the consortium network.

Participating institutions

NFDI4Objects comprises eleven co-applicant institutions and another 61 members. The German National Library is involved in the consortium in the role of "participant".
