NFDI4Memory
Project description
Research organisations and memory institutions (archives, libraries, collections, museums) all cooperate closely within the NFDI4Memory consortium. Its key interests include methods of digital source criticism and the contextualisation of data. The consortium concentrates its activities on various focal areas with the goal of improving research data management in the historically oriented humanities and setting new standards for historical data and digital historical source criticism. It also provides support for the community in the digital realm and works on expanding it.
In organisational terms, NFDI4Memory aims to forge systematic, sustainable links between three main categories of historical data providers and users: persons carrying out historical research, memory institutions and information infrastructures.
