Project description

Institutions from all key areas in the provision of scientific infrastructure and all of Germany's major research organisations are actively involved in Base4NFDI. In organisational terms, Base4NFDI's work is based on the participatory co-development of basic services by the communities within the NFDI association; technologically, it builds on a common framework that creates quality-assured, coherent models for the continuous identification, funding, development, operation and evaluation of NFDI-wide basic services.

Goals:

• Integration of services to support research data management in the NFDI across various disciplines, data types, existing infrastructures
• basic services usable NFDI-wide
• a transparent, quality-assured bottom-up process for establishing a basic service, embedded in the NFDI sections
• linkage with European infrastructure landscapes (especially European Open Science Cloud (EOSC))
