The German National Library in Leipzig will be closed from 18 to 24 February 2025, 11:00. The exhibitions of the German Museum of Books and Writing will open from 10:00 to 18:00.

Guests attending the Leipzig Book Fair were invited to come and talk to us in our newly designed promotional area:
What does the German National Library actually do? What will libraries look like in the future? Guests attending the Leipzig Book Fair were invited to come and talk to us in our newly designed promotional area. We offered insights into many areas of our work during a series of talks, presentations and workshops. The German Museum of Books and Writing, the German Exile Archive 1933–1945 and the German Music Archive all showcased themselves and their unique collections. Digital content and opportunities to take part in creative activities rounded off the programme.
Hundreds of guests were invited to the exhibitions, events and guided tours on our premises at Deutscher Platz in Leipzig.
